Consigned by China Education Ministry, Mr. Uwe Graune, a German expert of Sino-Germany vocational education teacher training program, came to Suzhou from Shanghai and began his inspection of IVT on Nov. 5. Mr. Uwe Graune, accompanied by the consultant who is in charge of education cooperation with colleges of Siemens Industrial Automation Co., Ltd. Shanghai, was welcomed by IVT leaders including President Wei and President Lin.

    On the next morning, Mr. Graune made a wonderful speech to the trainees of National Backbone Vocational Education Teacher Training Class at IVT. He introduced Germany dual-system and education patterns and demonstrated advanced electronic teaching devices. In two hours, the trainees gained a general impression about Germany vocational education from his witty and humorous remarks. Among the vocational education modes and teaching methods introduced by Mr. Uwe Graune, some are already in wide use at IVT such as Six-level Teaching Method and Project-oriented Method.

    On the afternoon, Mr. Uwe Graune and some other guests accompanied by Mr. Wang Yinghai, Dean of Electronics Engineering Department isited Electronics labs on north campus and Mechanical and Precision Engineering labs on Central campus. IVT vocational education training modes gave the guests a deep impression. On Nov. 7, the German experts left for the inspection of Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou.
